Meet the Mibs (the Make It Better.net staff)

MakeItBetter.net is the brainchild of Susan B. Noyes, who practiced labor law at Sidley & Austin before deciding to lay down the law full-time with her six children instead. Her favorite time of the day is family dinner, despite her children’s constant misbehavior. Susan loves to network, build community, write and organize lots of moving pieces. Her motto: "A clean home is a wasted life."
CEO, Mindy Fauntleroy was a Fortune 500 marketing executive until she traded her brief case, and meetings for a basket and picnics at the park with her four children. Mindy’s mission - work hard, play hard, relish the moment.

The rest of the Kitchen Cabinet - a circle of trusted advisors, wise
and wickedly witty - each bring unique strengths and passions.

Julie Barrett - Evanston mother of three, animal lover and the site's technical/graphical wizzard, never sleeps. This is the fourth successful business that she has launched. She loves the outdoors - all year round. She is a professional spectator of kids sporting events and volunteers for Evanston Baseball & Softball, Jr. Wildkit Football and Wildkit Swim Organization. She lives by the quote, "If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough." - Mario Andretti
Heather Blackwell’s motto - Life is too short so live each day to its fullest! Service, fundraising and any other way that she can help others in need bring passion to her days. So do her three children, gardening, serious athletic competition - particularly racquet sports - and travel. As a North Shore lifer she graduated from New Trier High School and returned here after college, graduate school and a ten year stint as an infant development specialist at Children's Memorial Hospital.
Julie C. graduated from Yale with a major in English, which she now speaks fluently. This often helped during her tenure on the Evanston D65 Board of Ed. Her children, Adam and Leah, attend ETHS. She also shares her life with gorgeous husband Josh and Rosie the Cockapoo. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy, Julie has a varied food background, including stints as Food Editor of Weight Watcher's Magazine; personal chef to Boz Scaggs; manager of Wolfgang Puck's Postrio in SF and Rick Bayless' Frontera Grill/Topolobampo in Chicago; caterer; and cooking teacher tokids and adults alike. She likes to eat.

Megan Davy is nothing but trouble...and we love her for it. She retired from an advertising and marketing career at the Chicago Tribune to raise her four children. She currently works as a high school youth leader at Kenilworth Union Church.
Suzy Hilbrant - mother of four and the unofficial President of the all-powerful (but also unofficial) Winnetka Mother’s Network - has chaired more school PTAs than she cares to admit, probably because she is a lifetime Winnetkan and she knows just how to gather a crowd. That's why she is our beloved Circulation Director.

Bev Pinaire began life apres college as a Chicago CPA (Certified Public Accountant), but four sons and a move to Wilmette later, she was transformed into a North Shore CPV (Certified Professional Volunteer). Most of that charitable energy went into schools and church. Now, she’s found a new passion: sustainability advocate. Organics, policies, recycling -- she covers them all. And MakeItBetter.net gives her the perfect forum to have fun and educate all of us about the Environment.
Catherine’s a teacher, writer and natural leader. She has chaired many parent school groups including the Evanston Township High School Boosters Club, while raising four very different children. She now serves on the YMCA and other community boards.
For years and just for fun, retired attorney and mother of three, Joan Vesselinovitch, has followed the Chicago and North Shore dining and entertainment scene. She organizes fabulous outtings for all of her friends. Now she’s doing it for the entire community.
