I love reading about fellow authors in my own backyard! You introduced to me names and works I did not know were North Shore born. I was surprised, however, to not see my favorite local author even mentioned – and I do believe she is more successful and acclaimed than authors included in your piece. Libby Fischer Hellmann, who lives in Northfield, is a major writer in the hard-to-crack world of the crime thriller. The author of SIX books, and award nominee of both the prestigious Edgar award and the Agatha award for excellence, Libby has made a real impact in the mystery book world. Her novels are also set in our locale, which makes reading a finely crafted mystery all the more interesting for us local readers. Maybe she will get an article of her own in your magazine??
