Resort Fashion that’s Sweet (and Tart)

This spring, resort’s bright berries and tangerines chase the gray away.

We’ve gone though the collections and gathered cheery pieces that will work in every price range.

Dresses

Choose a dressy number for a wow dinner at Barton G in Miami (if you go, order one of the over-the-top cocktails) or something a little simpler for lunch and shopping with the gals in South Beach. (Note that the two-tone dress puts the bright color by your face—very flattering look.)

Parker Two Tone Dress, $242, Neiman Marcus

La Via 18 Sleeveless A-Line Dress, $448, Saks Fifth Avenue

Roland Mouret Skiffins Dress, $1,985, Neiman Marcus

Flip Flops

They still rule the beach. And we have some bright pink ones you can wear on the sand, and some sandals that are strictly for sipping a pina colada next to the pool.

Clockwise from top left:

Prada Flat Thong, $270, Neiman Marcus

Chanel Rubber Flip Flops, $325, Neiman Marcus

Prada Studded Sandal, $460, Neiman Marcus

Wide strap flip flops, $29.95, Gap

Accessories

If you’re not ready to leap into these bright colors, start with a tan and a white shirt. Add one of these pieces and you’ll glow.

Beaded Bracelet, $25, Three Sisters

Bubble necklace, $150, J Crew

Oscar De La Renta Turtle Cuff, $465, Neiman Marcus

Totes

Vacation means schlepping sunscreen and sunglasses, but you don’t have to look like a Sherpa. Leave your black bag at home, and bring one of these sunny sacks.

Leather Travel Tote, $125, Gap

Addison Patent Leather Tote, $395, Neiman Marcus

Gucci Raffia Tote, $2,890, Saks Fifth Avenue
