Why did someone decide to make National Margarita Day in February?
We think of Margaritas in July, but really, why not? We’ll take any reason to mix up a fun drink and we found a Margarita that’s perfect for the snow!
Mama Rita
This one seems odd, but you’ll have to trust us, it’s flat out awesome and you can adjust the amount to serve just two or a crowd.
1 ½ parts Sauza Silver Tequila
½ part Cabernet Sauvignon
1 part DeKuyper Triple Sec
1 part Agave Nectar
1 part Fresh Lime juice
Pour all ingredients over ice in mixing glass. Shake and strain into a martini glass and garnish with a lime slice.
Warm Winter Margarita
Perfect for a cold February day.
Serves 4.
3 ½ cups apple juice
1 cinnamon stick
2 cups dried fruit of your choice
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
4 shot glasses Sauza Silver Tequila
Combine apple juice and cinnamon in a heavy pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick carefully. Add sugar, dried fruit, and tequila. Mix well. Serve warm.
Sauzarita
This one will remind you of summer.
Serves 9.
1 can frozen limeade
1 bottle of light beer
1 can of Sauza Silver Tequila
