From the playground to Cyberspace, bullying in 2010 is taking on new forms. Learn how the internet has expanded the avenues kids use to target their victims. Children as young as third grade have discovered the the web as a new platform for intimidation. Sexting, Facebook, texting, IM’s, Skype, My Space, YouTube, chat rooms, tweeting, and twittering are the new weapons of the bully. It’s the deadliest combination going: bullies who get what they want from their target, bullied kids who are afraid to tell, bystanders who watch, participate, or look away, and adults who see the incidents as simply teasing and a normal part of childhood. Barbara Coloroso will teach us how to raise ethical kids who can navigate today’s problems and relationship challenges.
