Happy Birthday 19th Amendment!

Today is the 89th birthday of our Constitution’s 19th Amendment, which gave American women the right to vote.

Happy birthday, and thank you—from all of us who reap the rewards to the visionary women and men who worked hard to establish this right.

In many ways, their efforts launched a movement that led not only to better legal rights for women but also to the growing 21st century realization that women, with their intuitive and collaborative Make It Better sensibilities, find the most effective solutions to difficult problems.

As old legal and social barriers crumble, women often lead the way to a better future in their communities, businesses and not-for-profit institutions.

Mibs is so excited about this that we’re dancing around our Kitchen Table!

This means that Make It Better – North Shore is building on a fantastic foundation because our mission is to be the most-trusted, easiest-to-use community resource and magazine that helps North Shore women make their lives, and the lives of others, better.

We’re using media to simplify and amplify the efforts of some of our country’s best educated, most affluent and most nurturing women.  We’re building an in-person, online and in-print network that connects these amazing women to the businesses and not-for-profits that they support.

Think of the potential inherent in this!

Thanks to the Internet, when Make It Better – North Shore tells the story of their efforts online, people around the world will be able to learn from these outstanding—often world-class—resources.  We make it easier to make a difference not only on the North Shore but also in the world beyond our privileged foot-print.

Just as important, Make It Better – North Shore makes it easier for our time-pressed, multi-tasking, running-hard-to-just-make-it-through-the-day North Shore women to tend to their CEO of family and home responsibilities …  and occasionally nurture themselves and their friendships.

Mibs believes that someday (perhaps 89 years from now?) history will view Make It Better – North Shore as part of a natural evolution from the creation of the 19th  Amendment to empowered women at the heart of collaborative solutions around the world.

As you know, this fall we are launching a fantastic new Web site, which will be more sophisticated and substantially easier to use, as well as a print magazine.  We’re excited to offer you a sneak peek at the new logo today and tie it to this 19th Amendment birthday celebration.

We hope that you see an empowering Make It Better future in our new look
