Trinity Church Nursery School had their Winter Benefit on February 20, 2010 at the Michigan Shores Club.
This year’s theme was "That's Amore: Celebrating 40 years of the Nursery School we all love." The event was a huge success thanks to co-chairs Betsey Frank and Tena Bonaguidi. Many exciting items were auctioned off including a week’s vacation in Maine and a Labradoodle puppy.
Trinity Church Nursery School is a non-denominational preschool dedicated to the belief that each child is a precious individual with a unique pattern of development. Their mission is to provide a safe and stimulating environment in which children may play, learn, grow, and flourish in body, mind and spirit.
Trinity’s philosophy is that building a child’s self esteem is crucial to the learning process. Self-esteem is enhanced when a child experiences pleasure in seeking, doing, and achieving.
Through carefully planned activities, they encourage children to stretch their imaginations and abilities and to try the untried. In the words of Director Sue Gaertner, “we want children to enjoy themselves, to gain a sense of independence, and to feel secure and happy as they interact with others, develop friendships and learn.”
