TAGS: New Trier Educational Foundation, New Trier High School, Harris Bank, Make It Better

New Trier High School will benefit from the success of the New Trier Educational Foundation’s Fifth Annual Pitch In! Golf Outing which raised over $75,000.  Devoted supporters of the Foundation were rewarded with perfect autumn weather for their September 14 day of golf at Westmoreland Country Club.

NT Educational Foundation Goals

The Foundation funds exceptional educational opportunities that cannot be afforded within the 203 District Budget.  Through the Foundation’s support of important educational initiatives it ensures that New Trier will continue to be the gold standard for secondary school education in America.

Sociable Day of Golf

This annual fundraiser was kicked off with a buffet luncheon sponsored by Kaufman Hall & Associates, Inc.   Jan Borja, Principal of the Northfield Campus and Mac Harris, a member of the Board of Education talked with attendees throughout the afternoon as they drove the beverage cart out to the golfers.  Tim Dohrer, Principal of the Winnetka Campus was a golfer and raconteur at the evening’s celebratory dinner. The cocktail reception was sponsored by Harris Bank-Winnetka. Dinner was sponsored by Make It Better who also sponsored the on-line auction through the web site, www.makeitbetter.net.

We’re grateful to our sponsors including Make It Better, Harris Bank, Kaufman Hall, Gelber Foundation, Perkins + Will, Merrill Lynch, North Shore Community Bank and Pappas, Hubbard, O’Connor, Fildes, Secaras, P.C.  Local community businesses that supported the Foundation include AMS Mechanical, Begley Insurance Group, Bryan’s Garage, CE Inc., Donnellan Family Funeral Services, Goldman Sachs & Co., Groomingayles, Kenilworth Cleaners, New Trier Education Association, Transition Coaching & Consulting Assoc. and Wilmette Bicycle & Sport Shop as well as the many individuals who came out for a round of golf.

NT Graduation Tickets & Parking

Coveted reserved seating & parking for New Trier’s Graduation Ceremony were among the on-line auction offerings. Bears Tickets and autographed sports memorabilia were also available on line at www.makeitbetter.net.

The New Trier Educational Foundation’s mission is to provide private funding for exceptional educational opportunities which are not funded – or are funded only in part - by the 203 District Budget.  The Educational Foundation works to ensure ongoing excellence at New Trier and has funded over $200,000 in grants to teacher and student initiatives.

The comprehensive support offered by the Foundation ensures that New Trier will continue to be the gold standard for secondary school education in America.  The New Trier motto calls us “to commit minds to inquiry, hearts to compassion and lives to the service of humanity.”  The private philanthropy of the Educational Foundation ensures that we achieve this mission.
